UKCellNet operates under a "Privacy by Design" model. We minimize data collection to the absolute bare essentials required to provide a secure and functional service in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act and UK GDPR.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Data: Username, display name, and your securely hashed password (bcrypt).
• Session Data: A secure login session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days unless you explicitly sign out.
• Browser Preferences: Optional map preferences saved in browser cookies, including enabled layers, chosen map style, and recent location searches, so your map returns to the same view when you come back.
• Profile Data: Optional display name and any account settings you save through your account panel.
• Network Logs: Temporary logs of IP addresses are processed by our security provider (Cloudflare) to prevent DDoS attacks and malicious bot activity.

3. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use non-essential tracking cookies for marketing or profiling. We use strictly necessary session cookies and Cloudflare security cookies. We also use browser cookies to store your map preferences, such as enabled layers, selected map style, and recent location searches, so your experience is restored automatically when you return. We use Google Analytics configured in Cookieless/Consent Mode with IP Anonymization enabled.

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data. You may delete your account at any time via your settings panel.

By creating an account or accessing UKCellNet, you enter into a legally binding contract. Use of this service is contingent upon your compliance with these terms.

2. Anti-Abuse & System Integrity

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward system abuse including unauthorized access, automated extraction, denial of service, and account misuse.

3. Disclaimers

UKCellNet is provided "as-is" for informational purposes. We provide no guarantee of data accuracy or 100% uptime. We reserve the right to terminate any account at our sole discretion.

4. User Data and Storage

When you create an account, we store your username, display name, and hashed password. We also store a secure session cookie so you can remain signed in for up to 30 days unless you sign out.

We also persist browser preferences in cookies to remember your enabled map layers, selected map style, and recent location searches. These values are stored only to restore your experience and are not shared with third parties.

We do not sell your personal information. We may retain account and session records for security, abuse prevention, and support purposes.

This contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
